30 May 2021 - 7 Nov 2021 — Hamburger Bahnhof, Museum für Gegenwart, Berlin, Germany
The exhibition Scratching the Surface looks to the recent history of art in order to trace some of the entanglements between human beings, technology and nature. The range of works collected in the Rieckhallen extends from post-1960s tendencies such as land art, Arte Povera, and Conceptual Art through to contemporary artistic practices that address environmental and ecological concerns.
On view:
The Travelling Carriage of Goethe, the Mercedes of Adenauer and my Smart
2011, polyurethan
The three sculptures reflect on forms of crafted and mechanical production and its transition towards digitalised and segmented processes of labor.
